This is actually my first go at a little compositing of the background. I had wanted a little more texture than just a plain black background so I found some textures from a wall and added it to give a little more atmosphere and drama…

Döppêłgåñgęr - Her legs.
backgrounds
This is the doppelgänger that i have taken. The original picture is that of Henri-Cartier Bresson, "Martine's Legs" taken in 1968. The original picture that more light than this picture and is what makes it unique. The darker background and the brighter foreground makes the shot much harder to take. I also had to position the legs the same way as the original picture. I had to replicate everything as precisely as i could. The positioning of the legs was also not easy, as putting all the key elements into the picture was also hard. I had to put a carpet on the couch so that the background resembled what it once was. Also placing the book and her hand as accurately as possible was also extremely hard.I had to also take into account that there were many smaller elements in the picture hard to notice. The wool cushion in the bottom left corner had also needed to be placed correctly. The hardest part of this shot was to get the lighting correct. I had to try the picture multiple times, as i played with the lighting. I opened and closed curtains, tun lights on and off and sometime tried with flash. This is why the most crucial element in this picture is the lighting. I am proud of the picture as it looks somewhat like the original, but my work is no match to Henri-Cartier Bresson.
